What is Cremation?

Cremation has become a poplular option for many people because of the flexibility this option creates in regards to where and when you hold a service. You can have a traditional service before a cremation or a memorial service at any time with or without the urn present. You can keep the urn, scatter the ashes or have the urn buried in a grave or columbarium where we can hold a service. Whether you choose burial or cremation, we're here to help you commenorate your loved one in a special way. 

What is Required to Arrange for Cremation?

Once the cremation-over-burial decision has been made, all that's required is authorization. This is provided by the person who is the legally identified as the next-of-kin. Once all authorization documents are signed, and service charges are paid; your loved one can be transported from the place of death to the crematory and the cremation process can occur. However, there are some additional things you may wish to consider, such as:

1. Are there a special set of clothes (such as a military uniform or favorite dress) you like them dressed in?  
2. Are there any keepsake items you'd like to include? Perhaps there's a special memento, such as a treasured stuffed animal, blanket, photograph or letter?
