Edgar “Ed” George Sherman passed away at the age of 66 surrounded by family at Sacred Heart
Hospital of Spokane, WA, September 4, 2022.
Ed was born July 28, 1956 in Burlington, WA, to George and Vera Sherman. He spent his
childhood playing with his siblings and living all around WA state with his family. From the
very beginning, Ed displayed a love for all things agriculture and the outdoors, and this continued all
through his adult life. He was a larger-than-life man known for his contagious smile and
booming laughter. In 1989 Ed had a son, Lukas, with Leanne Goodrich in Wenatchee, Wa. In
1995 Ed began dating his wife Char, and they relocated to Quincy, WA in 1997. Ed continued
with his passion for agriculture while he owned and operated Sherman Orchards Inc until retiring
in 2015. Ed spent the remainder of his life enjoying his family, fixing vehicles in the shop with
his best friends Tim and Cal, woodworking, and maintaining a fruitful garden. Up until the
moment of his passing, Ed was the foundation of his little family; always providing unlimited
love and support.
Ed is survived by his sisters Marsha and Velda, brother Al, wife Charlene, son Lukas, and
grandson Maddax. He was preceded in death by both parents George and Vera, as well as his
Ed will be laid to rest at Evergreen memorial cemetery in a private burial service. A Celebration
of Life will be held; 1:30-5:00 pm on 09/17/2022 at Quincy Moose Lodge, located at 109 E St. SE
Quincy, WA. The Celebration will be potluck style with drinks available for purchase. Bring your
favorite dish, have a drink, and lets cheers to the amazing person that Ed was!
