Obituary

Maxine Ola Harrison
February 25, 1933 – August 23, 2019
East Wenatchee, WA

Maxine O. Harrison, 86, of East Wenatchee, WA, passed away at her home on Friday, August 23, 2019. She was born on February 25, 1933, in Prim, AR, to the late Noble and Ola Tyler. She was raised to her early youth in Arkansas prior to the family moving to Kelso, WA. She attended grade school in Kelso and later, when they moved to Ellensburg, WA, she attended junior high and high school. She met James Ray “Jim” Harrison while in high school. They were later married on September 6, 1950, in Yakima, WA. They made their home together in Ellensburg. During the early 1950's, they moved to the northern Seattle, WA, area, and through a number of moves in the area, later made their home in Bellevue, WA.

She sold real estate and later managed Glamorella, a company which consisted of six beauty salons including exercise and weight loss programs. In 1984, they moved to East Wenatchee, WA, and she worked cleaning offices and private residences.

Her enthusiasm for her Heavenly Father and church was infectious; she was a long-time member of the Wenatchee First Assembly of God Church, where she was always active and led a Bible study group.
Maxine and Jim were avid boaters and as such, they were former members of the Edmonds Yacht Club. Also, moored their 40' yacht in La Conner, WA. She was a good golfer and although she enjoyed all of the courses, she liked Three Lakes Golf Course in Malaga, WA, the most. Maxine liked to collect lighthouses and seashells.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 69 years, James Harrison of East Wenatchee, WA; sons: James Daniel Harrison of Rock Island, WA, and Daniel Ray “Dan” Harrison of Enumclaw, WA; sister, Bonnie Mason of Keizer, OR; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Yvonne; and two brothers: Lonnie and Spencer Tyler.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the Wenatchee First Assembly of God Church, 1520 McKittrick St., Wenatchee, WA, 98801. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 1301 10th St. NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802.
