Amy Jean Anderson Moss

Our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, Amy Moss, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. Amy was born February 13, 1929, in Walhalla, ND. She is preceded in death by her parents; Elmer Oscar Anderson and Margaret Helena Erickson Anderson, her brother’s Oliver (Skip) Anderson and Raymond Anderson, and her sister’s Della Anderson Gronneberg and Geneva Anderson Dame. She is survived by her sister Marion Anderson Bender.

Amy is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Carroll Rulon Moss and Son-in-law Roger McOmie. She is survived by her Children; Kjirsti and Jim Port, Karine McOmie, Kevin and Gloria Moss, Karla and Tom Sparks, and Keama and Eric Zizzi. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Amy loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were such a joy to her.

Amy graduated from South Kitsap High School in Bremerton, WA. She loved ice-skating and dedicated the time and practice it took to become proficient. She was approached by a professional ice-skating company to join their team however, she was dating a sailor stationed in Bremerton at the time and when he asked her to marry him, she chose to be our Dad’s wife and our mother. She developed skills and talents during her lifetime that would benefit her husband, children and her Church.

Amy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her life exemplifies the hymn “I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go Dear Lord”. She always put her husband and children before herself. We love you Mom!

Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on Thursday, June 27, 2019. 10170 Titus Rd., Leavenworth, WA. (Viewing 10:00-10:45, Service 11:00-12:00). Following the service, Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Leavenworth WA.
