Lila Rose Johnson, 93, of East Wenatchee, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at her residence in Senior’s Delight Adult Family Home.
Lila was born on April 18, 1926 in Wild Rose, North Dakota, to the late Carl Edmund and Olga Theresa (Zellmar) Melcher.
She is survived by her children: Greg Johnson of Badger Mountain, Randy (Theresa) Johnson of Issaquah and Robin Burgess of East Wenatchee; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Johnson of Omak; grandsons: Gregory J. Johnson of Cashmere, Ryan Burgess of Kent, Bill Taylor of Texas, Travis Johnson of Virginia, Benjamin Johnson of Issaquah, Michael Johnson of Issaquah, Kelly Johnson of Monroe; seven great-grandchildren; and family friends: Mike, Alicia, Stacia and Mason McRae.
She was preceded in death by Cliff Johnson; sons: Gibb Johnson and Larry Johnson; siblings: Larry Melcher, Ruby Anderson, Eva Inwaldsen, Albert Melcher, Edgar Melcher, Vera Johnson, Elvia Schettler, Ada Moore, Glen Melcher, Alice Anderson, Carl Melcher, Earl Melcher and Don Melcher.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the Badger Mountain Cemetery. Following the service, a reception will be held at the American Legion Post 10, 208 N. Wenatchee Ave., Wenatchee, WA, 98802.
