Charles Robert Kahler, 96, East Wenatchee, WA, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at Central Washington Hospital.
Charles was born on November 30, 1922, in Winthrop, WA, to the late Al and Rose (Davis) Kahler. He grew up and attended school in Winthrop, graduating from Winthrop High school.
He married Hallie Margeret Heaton, also of Winthrop, and they cherished over 70 years of marriage.
Charles joined the Army Air Corps and started college in Pullman. After his honorable discharge, he obtained his bachelor’s degree and began teaching in East Wenatchee.
Charles had a great sense of humor and was always happy. He was a loving husband and father and a hardworking family man. Charles was an avid angler and outdoorsman.
Charles is survived by his wife, Hallie Kahler of East Wenatchee, WA, and sons: Douglas Kahler of Wenatchee, WA and Greg Kahler of Seattle, WA.
