Elizabeth “Lisa” Whitaker
March 03, 1965 - January 12, 2019
Wenatchee, WA
Elizabeth Constance Whitaker, 53, died peacefully in her East Wenatchee home on January 12th, 2019.
Lisa was born at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA on March 3rd, 1965 to Don and Linda Bull. She was raised in East Wenatchee and graduated from Eastmont High School. She was an accomplished softball player and later a certified cosmetologist and medical assistant. In all things she was committed to the comfort and service of others, and cooking for people was her favorite way of showing love. Everyone who walked through her door was offered a bright smile and a warm meal.
Friends called her Lisa, family called her Connie. She married Randy Whitaker and had two boys, Kade and Shane Whitaker. Lisa and Randy later separated, but remained great friends and raised their sons together in Wenatchee. Later in life she fell in love with Duane Alexander, and dedicated herself as caregiver to her father. Together the three of them delighted in hunting, fishing, camping, and sports. Christmas was her favorite holiday, she relished the chance to gather family, friends, and whoever needed a home for Christmas dinner.
She is survived by her son, Shane; her father, Don; her siblings: Dawnelle and Kimberlance; her partner, Duane; and an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed.
A Memorial Service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Heritage Memorial Chapel, 19 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee, WA, with a reception to follow.
