Lolita “Lo” Ball, 87, a 66 year Wenatchee, East Wenatchee resident, passed away at her East Wenatchee home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

She was born on June 14, 1931 at Cloquet, Minnesota to the late Phillip and Violet (Christianson) Wilkinson. She grew up and started her education in Cloquet. They later moved to Clarkston, Michigan and she completed high school, graduating from the Clarkston High School in 1949. Following high school, she moved back to Cloquet, Minnesota where she worked as the Bookkeeperfor her father at his electrical contracting business. She later went to work as a Bookkeeper at Minnesota Power and Light Company. She met Donald Fredrick Ball and they were later married on October 27, 1951 at Cloquet, Minnesota. In June of 1952, they moved to make their home in Wenatchee. Her first duties in Wenatchee involved raising their two sons to reach school age. She went to work at the Wenatchee Valley Clinic when they first opened at their 9th Street location in Wenatchee, where she was their L & I officer. She later became an Apple Packer at Welch’s Fruit, and, following 10 years became a Bookkeeper in the office. She remained in that position until Welch’s closed its operation. She temporarily retired until job sharing as Secretary and bookkeeper at Grace Lutheran Church in Wenatchee.

Lolita was raised a Minnesota Lutheran and as a Lifelong Lutheran was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wenatchee.

She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Ladies Division ot the Leavenworth Golf Club.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Donald F. Ball, East Wenatchee; two sons and one daughter-n-law, Steven Ball, Wenatchee, Michael & Lori Ball, Clarkston, WA; four grandsons, Steven Ball Jr. Rock Island, WA, Christopher Ball, Cashmere, WA, Alexander “Alex” Ball, Clarkston, WA and Andrew Ball, East Wenatchee. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Howard Vern Wilkinson.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. Friends and family are invited to visit her tribute online at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com and leave a memory. Arrangements are in care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
