Obituary for Wayne W Rosentreter

Wayne W Rosentreter
Wayne W. Rosentreter
February 18, 1940 – July 4, 2018

Wayne William Rosentreter, 78, of East Wenatchee, passed away at his home in East Wenatchee after an 18-month illness.

He was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, on February 18, 1940, to the late Walter and Florence (Woolery) Rosentreter. He graduated from Glidden Wisconsin High School in 1957 and in November of 1963 he enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany until 1966.

Wayne moved to Seattle, WA, where he met his wife, Victoria Poole, and they were later married on November 22, 1969. They made their new home in Auburn, WA, and started their family and later moved to East Wenatchee in 1977.

He and his brother, Gene, worked together in the construction industry building houses. His favorite place in the world was his garden.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Victoria, of East Wenatchee, WA; son, Michael, of Toppenish, WA; brother, Gene, of Wilbur, WA; nephew, Jarrod, of East Wenatchee, WA; and cousins: Jim (Joanne) Heintz of Minneapolis, MN, David (Annette) Schaeffer, of Spencer, IA, Alice Titus, of Marion, IN, Kay Schmidt, of Rhinelander, WI and Dorothy Finch, of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela, on February 26, 2018, his parents, Walter and Florence, and his grandparents, Gustav and Emilie.

At Wayne’s request, there will not be a formal service. His ashes will be scattered in his garden.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers at Central Washington Hospital, Confluence Clinic and the Hospice Staff. The family would also like to thank Deanna Corbaley for her generous and giving assistance during his last days. You are invited to view Wayne’s online tribute at and leave a comment or share a memory.
