Conrad Amavisca

Conrad Amavisca,74, passed away on May 1, 2026, comfortably in his home surrounded by loved ones, including his service dog, Lucy. Conrad was born to Arthur and Guadalupe Amavisco on January 27, 1952, in Hanford, CA. He grew up in Kerman, CA. In 2003, he answered his daughters call for help and relocated to Wenatchee, WA, to help care for his granddaughter. His son, Rick, and his family soon followed. Finally, his kids and grandkids were all in the same town. He made Wenatchee his home. While remaining close to his family, he made numerous friends and enjoyed exploring his new stomping grounds: taking long drives, listening to music and enjoying the company he kept. Conrad helped his community by volunteering at the local food bank. He worked as a forklift operator trainer. Conrad was a strong and compassionate presence, often finding the humor in almost any situation, reminding us that life was serious enough. He loved to laugh, share stories, and listen to music. He was happy helping others whenever he could. More than anything, Conrad lived his life on his terms and he went out the same way. The independence to go and go anywhere, at whatever time and pace was important to him. Joking, laughing, and sharing pearls of whisdom from his own experiences along the way. Conrad was most proud of his two children and his three grandchildren. None of which he would hesitate to help wherever needed. While in school for Industrial Arts, he was drafted and served 15 years in the National Guard. He enjoyed working with his hands and creating things out of wood: shelves, boxes, cabinets. He often looked back fondly on time spent helping his parents and siblings build a home that remains in our family to this day. Another fond memory Conrad carried with him was working on his son's '73 Chevy Nova, with both kids at one time or another. Conrad was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Arthuro Amavisca; and son, Conrad "Rick" Amavisca. He is survived by his daughter, Corina Heath (nee Amavisca); three grandchildren: Conrad Sebastian Amavisca, Phoebe A Amavisca, and Lynina J Amavisca; younger brother, Geronimo "Jerry" Amavisca; sisters: Barbara Arredondo and Zeneida "Sandie" Bustemonte; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to Conrad's care giver, John David Heath, for your dedication to provide the best care and needed companionship in Conrad's most vulnerable time. And to Crys Elita Franklin for your presence and guidance at the most reverent and agonizing part of Conrad's life journey. He is eternally grateful to you both. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 5, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at The Scout Hut in Kerkoff Park, 15061 W. "G" St., Kerman, CA, 93630. All who knew and loved Conrad are welcome!
