We grew up with Donna and Jimmy. They lived with us for a bit and then nearby after that so we did a lot of adventuring together as cousins. And Donna was, more often than not, our driver.
At one point, someone thought it would be a hoot to paint bigfoot prints down one of the streets just outside of town. Late one night while driving past Donna said something along the lines of "Hey! You kids want to go find bigfoot??" She quickly turned down the dead end road. I recall Jamie and Jimmy being pretty excited for this adventure. I was terrified. I ended up on the floor of the car curled up as tight as I could get begging her to take me home.
It's safe to say there was no bigfoot. We all survived the terrifying detour.
I will miss you Donna, always willing to take an adventure. Even in the middle of the night to find a mythical creature. I'm glad you made me go down that road and face my fears - it was a life lesson balled up in a scary, funny prank. And I will definitely do something similar to my nieces and nephews some day ;)
