Beverly Anderson Miller
August 16, 1931- March 25, 2018
A Wenatchee native, Bev earned her Eastern Washington College education through academic scholarships, packing cherries and working at her cousin's Harverene Resort. Marrying James I. Miller in 1952, she taught first grade in California, Moses Lake, WA, and in the Federal Way, WA, area. In 1960, they welcomed their daughter, Susan Kay, followed by Scott Allen in 1964. Bev and Jim spent their retirement in Wenatchee. They were devoted to one another. The middle child of Jess and Emma Link Anderson, of Number Two Canyon, she learned her love of God early on and was faithful throughout her life. As she grew, so also grew her love of books, music, and flower gardening. She owned a gift shop and taught Tole Painting. Beverly truly understood "friendship" as all those she spent time with knew. As attentive, loving grandparents, Jim and Bev took their granddaughters, Crystal, Katie, and Jodi to the ocean beach for a week each year.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Jim, in 2012; her parents; and sister, Helen McKee. In 2005, she lost her childhood, lifelong "best-friend-ever," and then sister-in-law, Geri Howard Miller. Those remaining to remember her before her severe loss of memory are: Susan Miller and husband, Heinz Schlipf; Scott Miller and granddaughters, Crystal, Katy, and Jodi; brother, Bill, and his wife, Sharley; nieces, nephews, and three great-grandchildren she never knew.
