George Lepley, 64, of Wenatchee and former longtime Manson resident, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at Central Washington Hospital.
He was born February 16, 1954, in Chelan to the late Elmer H. and Reva E. (McFadden) Lepley. He was raised in Manson and attended Manson schools. George played guitar and along with some of his friends had a band while in high school. He graduated from Manson High School in 1972. He went to work at Valley Evaporating in Chelan Falls. He later worked at a variety of different jobs which included Journeyman House Painter, Upholster and as a general laborer. He moved to Wenatchee and attended Wenatchee Valley College and received his Associates Degree in Business.
George was a former member of the Wenatchee Eagles Lodge, Aerie # 204. He was an avid photographer and covered a wide range of subjects. George enjoyed building HAM radios. He liked gardening, pruning and caring for fruit trees and canning fruit. He learned leather craft in his later years and enjoyed making a variety of leather projects for his friends and family.
He is survived by two children and their spouses: Alicia and Jeremy Sehorn, Wenatchee, and Joel and Chelsea Lepley, East Wenatchee; six grandchildren: Skyler Diksen, Moses Lake; Ivy Sehorn, Wenatchee; and Ty, Keira, Jace and Brynn Lepley all of East Wenatchee; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ann Lepley, Manson, and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
