“Jim The Plumber”
James Arthur Findlay, 58, of East Wenatchee, has moved on to better hunting grounds. We have lost a true friend, loving father, beloved brother, and a champion of the long range shooting sport in the Northwest. He passed away on December 27th, 2017, while doing what he loved.
Jim was a 1977 Wenatchee H.S. graduate, a long time resident and the owner of Jim’s Plumbing which served and supported the Wenatchee Valley Community for over 25 years.
Jim was president of the North Central Washington (NCW) Gun Club. An avid firearm enthusiast, in 2001 he pioneered the “Findlay Cup”, the oldest tactical long range rifle match in Washington State. His other passions included hunting, extreme sport-bike riding and motorcycle racing… “How fast can you go”?
Born on November 17th, 1959, he was preceded in death by his parents J. Richard and Mary Elizabeth (Bacile) Findlay and brother, William “Billy” Findlay.
He is survived by his daughter, Shayla Shearer, Kennewick, WA; sister, Martha Bacile Findlay of Albania and six brothers, John Findlay Jr., Hampton, NJ; Donald Findlay, Omaha, NE; Robert Findlay, Citrus Heights, CA; Edward Findlay, Orange, CA; Walter Findlay, Louisville, KY; and David Findlay, Port Allen, LA; six loving sisters-in-law; 45 nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews; and a host of good friends.
