Dolly D. (Thompson) Furdero
Dolly D. Thompson Furdero, 68, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Colonial Vista Care Center in Wenatchee, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born on November 27, 1948 in Omak to the late Frank Thompson and Rosemarie (Thompson) McCandless. She spent her early years growing up in Omak before her family moved to East Wenatchee. She attended Sterling Middle School, Eastmont Jr. High and Eastmont High School. She later met and was married to Robert Orendor in October of 1966. From this union came their two children, Bobby and Shari. They made their home together in Wenatchee. She had worked as a Waitress, a Bartender, a process operator, and the Lunch Lady at both Eastmont Jr. High School at Skill Source in Wenatchee, and a delivery driver for Chad at Third Generation Pizza N More. Her two favorite jobs were at Skill Source and working deliveries for Chad at Pizza N More.
Dolly was a skilled Pool Player, played in league tournaments and was a former Top Shot. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a large variety of collectable frogs in her home. She loved Fords, especially Mustangs.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Bobby L. & Lee Jarolimek, Westport, WA and Shari Lee Martins, Spokane, WA; two sisters, Juanita Haley, East Wenatchee, Norma Jones and her partner, Lacey Ledbetter both of Malaga; five grandchildren, Jon Michael Orendor, Wenatchee, James M. Jarolimek, Westport, WA, Kristin Nicole Orendor, Clarksville, Tennessee, Jeffrey Borden, Kansas City, Missouri, Devin Orendor, Spokane, WA, two great grandchildren, Aiden Michael Orendor, Snohomish, WA, Aaliya Marie Aguilar, Wenatchee, 3 nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Frankie Ann Thomas in 1972, and a niece in 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dolly at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at the Steelworkers Union Hall located at 180 Rock Island Rd, East Wenatchee, WA.
