Roger William Newsome, our husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend died peacefully on March 28, 2017. He was born to Bill and Viola (Johnson) Newsome on July 20, 1945 in Waverly, Ohio.
Roger moved to Montana as a teen and helped build campgrounds in Yellowstone Park as well as being a guide and outfitter.
He loved his Ford muscle cars, hunting and fishing but, was mostly a woodworker in his spare time. His home is filled with his wonderful creations; cabinets, jewelry boxes and Bluegrass instruments to name a few. Roger loved flowers and his flower beds showed that he had a VERY green thumb!
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Roger is survived by mother; loving wife, Ava; daughters, Shawntina (Tim) Schirman, Sherryl Bettinger (Donny); granddaughters, Tabby, Lacey and Danielle (Jack); great grandchildren, Colby, Lilly, the twins, Jackson; sisters, Tish (Roger), Suzie, Rita (John), Melody (John), Lindy, Holly (Kevin) ; brothers, Steve (Joyce), Billy; stepmother, June plus many, many extended family members and friends.
We love you and will miss you; however, we know that we’ll see you when you wake up in the new system.
“I Love You Sweetie”.
