Allen Lake passed away at Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee, WA on March 27, 2017 from heart complications. He was born April 2, 1943 to Gordon and Emma (McKay-Watts) Lake in Seattle, Washington. Allen was the second oldest of five siblings. He married Louise Von Essen Dec. 7, 1962 and they had son, Robert Lake. Then he found the love of his life, Barbara Wilson, they were married on Friday, July 13, 1973. Together they had two sons, James and Harley.
He had a career as an industrial maintenance mechanic at Hannah Mining and Columbia Colstor retiring in 2007. He had a strong work ethic that he passed down to his sons and grandchildren.
He loved his family fiercely and he filled his home with love and happiness. Allen left an amazing legacy and role model as a husband and father, which will be a guiding force for all to follow. His zest, passion for life, empathy, and understanding, plus his ability to love and help others is unsurpassed.
Stories told about his travels throughout the world and the USA, plus hilarious tales of adventures with his boys and family will be passed onto the next generation. He thoroughly loved life, hanging out with friends and family, and sharing his contagious laughter with them, whether it is in a bar, a riverbank, or mountaintop. His hobbies included car auctions, Reno trips, traveling, and outdoor activities including a passion for hunting and fishing with his loved ones
His family wishes you to honor Allen's memory by giving flowers to someone special in your life or someone who is often forgotten by others, and to share your stories with your family members. Don't take any day for granted, but share your love now.
Allen is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children Robert (Summer), James, Harley (Chandy); seven grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jade,(their mother Shelly) Sierra, Mya (their mother, Shannon), Tuesday, Aven and Race(their mother Chandy); brother, Ken Watts; sister, Holiday Lake, and grandmother, Joan Lake, plus many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Watts and sister, Penny Burch.
A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held at The American Legion Hall, Post 10, Wenatchee, on April 9th from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. You are invited to view his online guestbook at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com . Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
